Kamareddy

Kamareddy district in Telangana was formed on 11 October 2016 from part of the old Nizamabad district.

Kamareddy is a district of Telangana.1 The Telangana government formed it on 11 October 2016.1 Its land came from the old Nizamabad district.1

How the district was formed

Notification No. 230 of the Revenue Department formed the district.1 It took effect the same day.1 The notification lists 22 mandals (sub-districts).1 They are in three revenue divisions (groups of mandals): Kamareddy, Banswada and Yellareddy.1

The heading of the notification says the district was made from Nizamabad district.1 However, the table names Kamareddy itself in the column for the old district.1
