Districts
One page for each district: when and how it was formed, from which older districts, and its mandals and revenue divisions, from the government orders and the other sources cited on the page. Each old district of undivided Andhra Pradesh has its own page, with the places on this site that lie in it.
The story of all these changes is told on How the map changed.
- Unified Andhra Pradesh (pre-2014)

- District boundaries (OpenStreetMap, as on 15 October 2026)
- Borders of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
The districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh after 31 December 2025, when Andhra Pradesh formed two new districts, Polavaram and Markapuram. The OpenStreetMap data shows 33 districts in Telangana and 28 in Andhra Pradesh. The boundaries are as they stood on 15 October 2026. The lines are simplified, so they show the shape of each district, not its exact border. Zoom in to see the names of the smaller districts.
