Nagarkurnool

Nagarkurnool district in Telangana was formed on 11 October 2016 from part of the old Mahbubnagar district.

Nagarkurnool is a district of Telangana.1 The Telangana government formed it on 11 October 2016.1 Its land came from the old Mahbubnagar district.1

How the district was formed

Notification No. 243 of the Revenue Department formed the district.1 It took effect the same day.1 The notification lists 20 mandals (sub-districts).1 They are in three revenue divisions (groups of mandals): Nagarkurnool, Kalwakurthy and Achampet.1
