ఈ ఆలయాలు పాలంపేటకు ఎనిమిది మైళ్లు ఈశాన్యంగా, వరంగల్‌కు యాభై మైళ్లు ఈశాన్యంగా ఉన్న ఘనపూర్‌లో ఉన్నాయి. హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్ర పురావస్తు శాఖ వీటిని 1932–33లో జరిగిన అత్యంత ముఖ్యమైన, ఆసక్తికరమైన ఆవిష్కరణ అని పిలిచి, “ప్రసిద్ధ పాలంపేట ఆలయాలకు ప్రతిరూపం” అని వర్ణించింది.¹ ఘనపూర్ ఆలయాలు (కోట గుళ్లు) పేజీ చూడండి.
