దొమ్మర నంద్యాల

కడప జిల్లాలోని పూర్వపు జమ్మలమడుగు తాలూకాలో ఉన్న గ్రామం. ఇక్కడ ఒక రైతుకు పొలం దున్నుతుండగా మూత వేసిన కుండలో తెలుగు చోళ రాజు పుణ్యకుమారుడి పదవ పాలన సంవత్సరపు రాగి రేకులు దొరికాయి. 1956లో ఈ రేకులను సంపాదకత్వం వహించి ప్రచురించారు.

రాగి రేకులు

1940–41లో ప్రభుత్వ శాసన పండితుడి కార్యాలయానికి చెందిన హెచ్. కె. నరసింహస్వామి (H. K. Narasimhaswami) జమ్మలమడుగు తాలూకాలోని దొమ్మర నంద్యాలలో రాతి శాసనాలను నకలు తీస్తున్నారు.¹ అక్కడ ఆయనకు సింహం ముద్ర ఉన్న మూడు రాగి రేకులను చూపించారు.¹ కొన్ని సంవత్సరాల ముందు పొలం దున్నుతున్న ఒక గ్రామస్తుడి నాగలికి మూత వేసిన ఒక మట్టి కుండ తగిలింది. ఆ కుండలో వరి పొట్టులో రేకులు ఉన్నాయి.¹ అవి కేవలం ఒక భూదానాన్ని మాత్రమే నమోదు చేస్తాయని తెలుసుకున్న యజమాని వాటిని కార్యాలయానికి ఇచ్చాడు.¹

తెలుగు చోళ రాజు పుణ్యకుమారుడు తన పదవ పాలన సంవత్సరంలో ఐదుగురు బ్రాహ్మణులకు ఇచ్చిన దానాన్ని ఈ రేకులు నమోదు చేస్తాయి. నరసింహస్వామి వాటిని 8వ శతాబ్దం మధ్య కాలానికి చెందినవిగా నిర్ణయించారు.²³ పుణ్యకుమారుని దొమ్మర నంద్యాల తామ్రశాసనం, పుణ్యకుమారుడు పేజీలు చూడండి.
