1953–1979 మధ్య తెలుగు ప్రాంతంలో ఏర్పడిన జిల్లాలు. 1953 అక్టోబర్ 1న వరంగల్ నుండి ఖమ్మం జిల్లాను వేరు చేశారు. 1959లో భద్రాచలం తాలూకాను తూర్పు గోదావరి నుండి దానికి మార్చారు. ప్రకాశం జిల్లా 1970 ఫిబ్రవరి 2న గుంటూరు, నెల్లూరు, కర్నూలు భాగాలతో ఏర్పడింది. శ్రీకాకుళం, విశాఖపట్నం భాగాలతో విజయనగరం, హైదరాబాద్ జిల్లా గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలతో రంగారెడ్డి 1970ల చివరలో ఏర్పడ్డాయి. 1981 జనాభా లెక్కలు 23 జిల్లాలను లెక్కించాయి. పట్టణాలను మాత్రమే గుర్తించాం; ఆధార పటంలో జిల్లా సరిహద్దులు లేవు.
