ఉస్మానియా జనరల్ ఆసుపత్రి

హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్రపు ప్రధాన ఆసుపత్రి. నిజాం పాలనా నివేదిక ప్రకారం, రూ. 21,22,500 అంచనాకు గాను రూ. 20,56,535 ఖర్చుతో 1924–25 సంవత్సరంలో ఇది పూర్తయింది. ముదిరాజ్ రాసిన పిక్టోరియల్ హైదరాబాద్ (1929) దీన్ని భారతదేశంలో అత్యుత్తమ సౌకర్యాలున్న ఆసుపత్రులలో ఒకటి అని పిలిచింది. 1932–33లో మీర్ ఉస్మాన్ అలీ ఖాన్ దాని ఎక్స్-రే విభాగాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. అది రాష్ట్రపు సహాయ సర్జన్లకు శిక్షణ ఇచ్చింది.

ఉస్మానియా జనరల్ ఆసుపత్రిని హైదరాబాద్‌లో మీర్ ఉస్మాన్ అలీ ఖాన్ పాలనలో కట్టారు. ఆయన అసఫ్ జాహీ వంశంలో పాలించిన చివరి నిజాం. నిజాం ప్రభుత్వపు 1924–25 పాలనా నివేదిక ఆ సంవత్సరపు ముఖ్య సంఘటనలలో ఆసుపత్రి పూర్తి కావడాన్ని చేర్చింది.1 హిమాయత్ సాగర్ జలాశయంతో పాటు దాని పేరు చెప్పి, దాని ఖర్చును 20.57 లక్షలు అని ఇస్తుంది.1

వాడుకలో ఆసుపత్రి

కె. కృష్ణస్వామి ముదిరాజ్ (K. Krishnaswamy Mudiraj) రాసిన Pictorial Hyderabad (చిత్రాల హైదరాబాద్) (1929) దీన్ని “భారతదేశంలో అత్యుత్తమ సౌకర్యాలున్న వాటిలో ఒకటైన ఉస్మానియా జనరల్ ఆసుపత్రి” అని వర్ణిస్తుంది.34 ఆయన ఒక శస్త్రచికిత్స వార్డు ఫోటోలను ప్రచురించారు.34 వైద్య, నర్సింగ్ సిబ్బందితో సూపరింటెండెంట్ ప్రొఫెసర్ ఆర్. ఎన్. కూర్లావాలా ఫోటోను కూడా ఆయన ప్రచురించారు.34

ఆ సంవత్సరం నిజాం ఆసుపత్రి ఎక్స్-రే విభాగాన్ని ప్రారంభించారని 1932–33 పాలనా నివేదిక నమోదు చేస్తుంది.5 “వివిధ వ్యాధుల చికిత్సకు అన్ని సౌకర్యాలు ఉస్మానియా జనరల్ ఆసుపత్రిలో అందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయి” అని అది చెబుతుంది.67 వైద్య శాఖకు చెందిన నలుగురు సహాయ సర్జన్లను, తొమ్మిది మంది ఉప-సహాయ సర్జన్లను పోస్ట్-గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ శిక్షణ కోసం అక్కడికి పంపారు.67
