1858 వరకు ఈస్ట్ ఇండియా కంపెనీ పాలించిన తెలుగు జిల్లాలు ఎలా దానికి వచ్చాయో చూపే పటం: ఫ్రెంచివారిపై ఫోర్డ్ విజయం తర్వాత సలాబత్ జంగ్ ఇచ్చిన మచిలీపట్నం ప్రాంతం (1759); 1765లో చక్రవర్తి ఇచ్చి, 1766–68లో నిజాం అప్పగించిన కొండపల్లి, ఏలూరు, రాజమండ్రి, చికాకోల్ ఉత్తర సర్కారులు; గుంటూరు సర్కారు (1788); రాయలసీమ దత్త మండలాలు (1800); కర్ణాటకంతో పాటు నెల్లూరు, పల్నాడు (1801); కర్నూలు జాగీరు (1839). మాధవాయపాలెం, ఇంజరం వద్ద కంపెనీ పాత ఫ్యాక్టరీలు, 1794లో విజయనగరం రాజు మరణించిన పద్మనాభం, ఫ్రెంచి స్థావరం యానాం గుర్తించాం. షేడ్ చేసిన ప్రాంతాలు ఆధారాలు పేర్కొన్న జిల్లాల స్థూల చిత్రాలు మాత్రమే, సర్వే చేసిన సరిహద్దులు కావు.
