1677లో శివాజీ హైదరాబాద్ నుంచి కర్నూలు దగ్గర కృష్ణను దాటి, శ్రీశైలం దర్శించి, కడప ప్రాంతం గుండా దామలచెరువు కనుమ దిగి జింజీ వైపు సాగిన మార్గం, బళ్ళారి మీదుగా తిరుగు ప్రయాణం; 1680లో బీజాపూర్ అతనికి వదిలిన బళ్ళారి–అనంతపురం ఎగువ ప్రాంతం; 1743–1774 మధ్య మరాఠాల చేతిలో అప్పుడప్పుడు ఉన్న పెనుగొండ, గుర్రంకొండ, పుంగనూరు కోటలు; నిజాంలతో ఉద్గీర్ (1760), రాక్షసభువన్ (1763), ఖర్దా (1795) యుద్ధాలు; 1754లో పాచిపెంట కనుమ గుండా భోంస్లేల ఉత్తర సర్కారుల దాడి. మార్గాలు, షేడ్ చేసిన ప్రాంతం స్థూల చిత్రాలు మాత్రమే.
