The Cuddapah gazetteer says Golconda only turned to Cuddapah in the early 17th century and never really conquered it. Chandragiri fell to Golconda in 1646.

Partial (Warangal, Khammam and other hill forts, with Bellamkonda south of the Krishna; probably Nalgonda). A former Bahmani officer, Shitab Khan or Sitapati, took Warangal fort from the Muslims on 21 January 1504 by his pillar inscription, and held it until Sultan Quli Qutb Shah defeated him and his Gajapati allies; the Kistna manual calls him apparently a vassal of Orissa. The end is uncertain: Sastri allows him six or seven years (to 1512), the Hyderabad archaeological report of 1925-26 dates the loss of Warangal to 1513-1516, the Kistna manual places the war after 1516, and Bilgrami gives 1519-1525
